Elih has displayed a creative element to his personality since primary school where he enjoyed private painting tuition until the age of 10. He continued his interest throughout high school and blended his skills with computers. Upon leaving school, he edited a computer magazine for a Sydney based publication. He then went on to design advertising for a Brisbane based electronic entertainment firm. While continuing his interest in computer design, Elih returned to his brushes and relocated to Sunrise Beach, Noosa Heads where he produced his first commercial canvas in 2005.

His art is in continual development and his inspiration comes from conscious application of thoughts constantly evolving through his life's journeys. Although Elih's pieces are titled, he sees this as an industry expectation which concerns him that this may limit people's perception of his works.
